Introduction

Allow this to be a very short introduction of myself and my intentions for this page.

I am a Captain in the U.S. Army. I am an Engineer Officer and the Commander of a Route Clearance Company. I have one (mostly uneventful) deployment where I split time between Iraq and Kuwait. I have a few “cool” stories from it but the biggest things I got out of that deployment were the Dos and Don’ts of leadership. I hope that I can continue to pass on these lessons learned so you, the reader, know how to deal with the things I have encountered thus far in my career.

Why do this?

• This website is meant to be an extension of my Instagram Page ( @theleadershuddle ).
• I hope to have expanded posts and discussions on various topics that do not always fit into Instagram’s formats and limitations.
• I want you to be a better leader than I am by not only reading my lessons learned but those shared through guests feautured on this page.
• Knowledge is the greatest weapon of war.
